When shooting I usually opt for black and white. This shoot with Fanny Müller was my first shoot that put color at the center.
Most models, Fanny being no exception, are very well capable of doing their own basic make up and styling. As the plan of this shoot aimed for the more extreme, I invited a make up artist this time.
The carefully applied colours are no match for the intens light of the studio flashes. Only in after production, the colors came out as intended. A commonly known effect for theater professionals.
When working in color, it’s very educational to process the pictures in black and white anyway. Playing with color filters will lead to very dramatic effects.
